Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, born March 26, 1991, often referred to professionally under the other name Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and was the first female to be signed with J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. Her debut EP Pho, released which was released on 21 October 2016 was released through Dreamville Records. She began to gain recognition. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. It was released on May 19, 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading music to the Internet in 2012 after she dropped her mixtape debut Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in 2013. She continued to upload her songs online throughout 2014, which included the self-released single Bound. The 21st day of July, 2015. Omen was featured on Elephant Eyes song"Sweat it Out.. The following year, her music was circulating all over the Dreamville group as J. Cole wanted her to collaborate with him on some potential references to Rihanna. On December 8 it was announced that she was signed to Dreamville Records. Backseat was her contribution to the Revenge of the Dreamers II album. In October 21st, 2016 the debut EP of Ari Lennox was released titled Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's song Change and was an opening act for the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in 2017. In 2018, she went on to be a guest on two songs with her labelmates EarthGang and EarthGang on Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. On the 16th of July in 2018, Ari Lennox released the first single Whipped Cream from her debut album Shea Butter Baby with an accompanied music video on September 5. Then on the 9th of November 2018 she dropped two additional singles called 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). The 13th of November, she dropped two singles titled One and Pedigree. One and Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby. Shea Butter Baby was then able to make appearances as a guest on Creed II album soundtrack alongside Cole. She released this single as a way to promote her debut titled Creed II on 26 February 2019. In February of 2019, the music video for the track was launched. It has had over three million YouTube views within a week. In December 2018 she was a supporting act on From East Atlanta With Love Tour. From East Atlanta With Love Tour in conjunction with 6LACK.
